Knee Injuries

Knee injuries are quite common amongst the general population, ranging from the elite to the everyday athlete, from the young to the elderly. The knee joint is made up of bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Knee injuries and pain can occur when these structures become damaged, which can limit movement and your ability to walk.

Though most knee injuries (such as osteoarthritis) can be conservatively managed with physiotherapy, significant structural damage to the knee may require surgical intervention. Here at Guildford Physiotherapy Sports Centre, our physiotherapists are experienced in helping you maintain your existing movement and strength prior to surgery. After surgery, you will need to undergo rehabilitation for your knee to ensure optimal recover so that you can get back to doing what you love.

Our physiotherapist will perform a comprehensive assessment of your knee which will allow them to accurately diagnose the cause of your knee pain or your next course of action, as well as create a detailed treatment plan focused on getting you better.
