Elbow injuries are most commonly related to overuse or trauma. Overuse elbow injuries are common in sports involving repetitive upper limb movement (such as tennis), as well as in the workplace. Occupations such as electricians, plumbers or even desk jobs involving a lot of computer work can also result in elbow injuries and pain. On the other hand, trauma to the elbow could result in bony fractures, and/or muscle and ligament tears.
